SupportersDuxbury Rotary ClubThe Duxbury Rotary Club has served the Duxbury, Massachusetts, community since 1950. The organization adheres to the Rotary philosophy of “service above self.” Club members give their time each week to raise funds for worthy projects, stay on top of issues facing their community, and strive to make life better for people locally and across the globe. The Duxbury Rotary Club describes itself as “a small club in a small town,” but notes that the group accomplishes a lot. In 2008, the Duxbury Rotary Club cleaned up local highways, awarded scholarships to graduating seniors, helped the Interfaith Council buy holiday food baskets for needy families, hosted the town’s Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, and under the leadership of past president Razia Jan, completed construction of the Zabuli Education Center in Afghanistan — of which the group is especially proud.
