Nadia Aminullah
Full of life, Nadia Aminullah is nine years old. She is one of ten children and loves to come to school. She is currently in her second year of classes at the Zabuli Education Center in Deh’Subz, Afghanistan. Nadia says that third grade seems very easy.She can’t wait to finish twelfth grade and go to medical school so that she can become a pediatrician. Nadia wants to build a clinic in her village and treat all children for free. She is a leader in her class, helps her teacher, and excels at sports. Nadia wishes for “peace and freedom for girls so they can go to school.”
Rahila Mir Roh Allah
A tall, beautiful young woman, 18 years of age, recently registered at the Zabuli Education Center. Rahila Mir Roh Allah joined the fifth grade, where she hopes she will have a more positive learning experience than she had in the eighth grade at a public school with more than 120 other girls—a frustrating and unhappy experience. Rahila made her own decision to change schools. She is one of the several children of Malik of Deh’ Sabz. Rahila is very attentive, serious about learning, and is a great help to her teachers. She is a role model for the other girls. Rahila wants to continue her education even if she gets married. Her wish is to become a mechanical engineer.
