Let’s be clear:  The situation in Afghanistan is unsettling. Exhausting. Overwhelming. We understand. But our organization was born through tragedy and has prevailed through the unthinkable with an unwavering commitment to the future of Afghanistan. Our school is situated in a remote suburb, with a single heavily-monitored road leading in and out. We have extensive security measures in place, and the unwavering support of our local community. Our students have always been and will forever remain our first and foremost priority. These days, this means standing steadfast by their side – – whatever tomorrow may bring.

While the international community may be winding down their presence in Afghanistan, we’re not going anywhere.

And we’ve got news.

We’re expanding. This Campus Expansion project is a groundbreaking endeavor to amplify our reach, inspired by our years-long waitlist of hundreds of local girls hoping for an education. The addition of a new school will significantly increase our student capacity, allowing us to educate more than 1,000 girls each year. The new building will include a science learning lab, library, computer room, auditorium, gymnasium, and many more rooms to provide a safe, state-of-the art learning environment.

With the addition of these new physical spaces, our programming capacity will also expand. The K-12 curriculum will digitize and grow to feature STEM courses, as well as a number of new programs including “My Body, My Health,” Going Green: Campus Sustainability, and our new sports program featuring badminton, volleyball, soccer, and cricket. The expansion will also impact the larger community with programs for widow support, midwifery, post graduate digital literacy, English as a Second Language and Journalism as well as higher learning scholarships.

Doors to the new building will open to our girls in March of 2022.
