WATCH THE FILM

With unprecedented access, WHAT TOMORROW BRINGS goes inside our girls’ school in Deh’Subz, Afghanistan. Never before have fathers here allowed their daughters to be educated. From the school’s beginnings in 2009 to its first graduation in 2015, filmmaker Beth Murphy embeds herself in this community for a most intimate look at what it really means to be a girl growing up in Afghanistan today, and what it takes to change hearts and minds.

WHAT TOMORROW BRINGS is an excellent tool for outreach. It will be of special interest to people looking to explore the following topics:

  • Afghanistan
  • early marriage
  • education
  • feminism
  • gender equality
  • gender-based violence
  • girls’ education
  • Islam and women
  • Taliban
  • teachers
  • women’s rights
